"Think Small"
"Take the Bad with the Good"
This project was, in a way, a dual problem project, because we were given the task to create two illustrations that could work together, when side by side, and then on their own, when they're apart. We were also given the task of creating lightweight, wooden boxes as the bases of these pieces, in order to have them RTH (ready to change). In the process of working on this project, I had been talking to a friend, whom at the time was having relationship issues with their significant other, and I kept thinking about how when things are going good, there's always a let down somewhere down the road. The same can be said for the opposite: when things are going bad, a pay off is just around the corner. So this is what I wished to symbolize with my work. With the flowers and knives coming together, it is representing this union of the good and the bad that we have to face in anything: in our everyday relationships, in our work places, in our school work- there will always be a good to go with the bad, and vice versa.
