Wooden Box Frames
The wooden box frame project, was very similar to the handmade palette, in that it was an in class affair. We started with Basswood at 1/16" thick, having wanted something lightweight, but sturdy all at the same time. Once all the pieces were cut down to size- a feat that included a bit of math -the pieces were all ready to be put together. Personally, I used a wood glue- provided by my father, as he has done carpentry before and has a clue on such matters- in order to keep the pieces all together. While this may have been a bit more-than-necessary, I wanted to make sure that the box was sturdy and well put together.
